Rohit Gupta — Managing Director

Rohit Gupta is the Managing Director of Future Communities Capital (FCC). Rohit has led investments into Coupang, Counsyl, Biomeme, SpaceX, Akido, Lyft, Roofr, and more.

FCC looks for technology entrepreneurs focused on disrupting legacy industries such as government, healthcare, finance, and real estate. Portfolio companies are tackling problems ranging from smart city infrastructure to disease outbreak management.

Rohit holds an MS in Environmental Engineering from Cornell University. He completed his BS at the University of Southern California.

Neil Daswani

Co-Director at the Stanford Advanced Security Certification Program

Neil Daswani is Co-Director of the Stanford Advanced Security Certification Program, and has also served as an Executive-in Residence at Trinity Ventures. He has in the past served in a variety of research, development, teaching, and executive roles at Symantec, LifeLock, Twitter, Dasient, Google, NTT DoCoMo USA Labs, Yodlee, and Bellcore. Neil has been both a security entrepreneur having co-founded Dasient which was acquired by Twitter, and has also served as a Chief Information Security Officer at LifeLock and at Symantec's Consumer Business Unit. His DNA is deeply rooted in security research and development, he has dozens of technical articles published in top academic and industry conferences (ACM, IEEE, USENIX, RSA, BlackHat, and OWASP), and he has been granted over a dozen U.S. patents. Neil is also co-author of "Foundations of Security: What Every Programmer Needs To Know." He earned Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science at Stanford University, and he holds a B.S. in Computer Science with honors with distinction from Columbia University.

Sanjit Mahanti

Head of Business Development at Akido Labs

Sanjit has over 15 years of technology and innovation experience in the healthcare space.  His dynamic and evolving expertise includes executive leadership positions in academic healthcare, population management and technology. During his tenure as Chief Business Development Officer for Keck Medicine of USC, he was instrumental in the creation of the organization’s innovation management function. Sanjit holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from University of Michigan and a Master’s in Health Administration from University of Southern California Price School.  He lectures regularly on the business and technology transformations of American healthcare and currently sits on the Board of Adventist Health Glendale. 

Andrew Poksay

Climate Fellow at FCI

Andrew Poksay has nearly a decade of experience disrupting legacy industries and building companies that create meaningful impact. He is currently a member of the executive team at Akido Labs, where he has led product and ops teams, helping to scale the company from five people in a garage to over 500 people across the world.

Andrew is an active member of the climate change community. In addition to investing in and advising startups tackling climate change problems, he supports climate activism organizations from his hometown of Seattle.
